ReaProphet Rev 4 Editor
LICENSE AGREEMENT, DISCLAIMER, AND PROJECT NOTICE

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By downloading, installing, copying, modifying, distributing, or using
ReaProphet, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted this License
Agreement. If you do not accept these terms, do not use or distribute the
software.

This plain-language agreement explains important hardware-use, warranty,
liability, and support terms. The open-source permissions for the software are
granted under the BSD Zero Clause License (0BSD) contained in the LICENSE file.
Nothing in this agreement is intended to reduce the permissions granted by
that license.

1. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

ReaProphet communicates directly with external synthesizer hardware. It can
change the Prophet's temporary edit buffer, Global settings, active program
parameters, operating mode, and other hardware state.

When you deliberately use commands such as Save Program, Save Pair, bank
writing, or confirmed patch replacement, ReaProphet can permanently overwrite
stored program memory.

You are solely responsible for:

- Confirming MIDI routing, channels, program locations, and write destinations.
- Backing up important programs, banks, REAPER projects, recordings, and other
  data.
- Verifying that ReaProphet is suitable for your hardware, firmware, MIDI
interface, computer, operating system, and REAPER configuration.
- Reading the documentation and testing important workflows before relying on
  them.

You assume all risk arising from installation or use of ReaProphet.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Funkybot and any contributors are not
responsible for damage to synthesizers, computers, MIDI interfaces, storage
devices, or other equipment; altered settings; overwritten or lost programs;
corrupted data; lost projects or recordings; interruption of work; lost time;
lost income; or any other direct, indirect, special, incidental, or
consequential loss arising from the use or inability to use the software.

2. PROVIDED AS-IS

ReaProphet is provided "as is," without warranties, promises, or guarantees of
any kind.

Compatibility with current or future versions of REAPER, Prophet firmware,
operating systems, MIDI drivers, computers, interfaces, or other hardware and
software is not guaranteed.

The author does not guarantee that the software will be uninterrupted,
error-free, suitable for a particular purpose, or safe for every configuration
or workflow.

3. SUPPORT IS NOT GUARANTEED

ReaProphet is free software created as a personal passion project. It is not a
commercial product, subscription service, or business venture.

Bug reports and constructive feedback are welcome, but the author and
contributors have no obligation to provide:

- Individual technical support.
- Installation, configuration, or troubleshooting assistance.
- Responses to questions, requests, or bug reports.
- Bug fixes or compatibility updates.
- New features.
- Documentation updates.
- Continued maintenance, development, hosting, or availability.

Users are expected to read the documentation, maintain backups, and
troubleshoot their own computer, REAPER, MIDI, and hardware configurations.

Downloading or using free software does not create a customer, consulting,
support, maintenance, or service relationship with the author or contributors.

4. OPEN-SOURCE LICENSE

The ReaProphet source code is made available under the BSD Zero Clause License,
identified by the SPDX identifier 0BSD. The complete legal license appears in
the LICENSE file.

You may use, copy, modify, port, combine, redistribute, sublicense, or sell the
software, with or without modification, as permitted by that license.

Attribution is not required. Crediting "Funkybot" for the original work is
appreciated but entirely optional.

5. USER MODIFICATIONS AND REDISTRIBUTION

You are responsible for any changes you make to the software and for any
version you distribute.

The original author and contributors are not responsible for modified,
repackaged, ported, or redistributed versions, including changes made by third
parties.

Do not imply that a modified or redistributed version is official, supported,
approved, or endorsed by Funkybot unless you have received explicit written
permission to do so.

6. NO AFFILIATION OR ENDORSEMENT

ReaProphet is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by,
approved by, or endorsed by Sequential, Focusrite, Cockos, or the developers
of REAPER.

Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

7. SEVERABILITY

If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable in a particular
jurisdiction, the remaining parts should continue to apply to the fullest
extent permitted by law.
